Collection: Bandhej Dupatta

Bandhej, also known as Bandhani, is one of India’s oldest and most iconic textile art forms, celebrated for its vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and deep cultural significance. The term Bandhej comes from the Sanskrit word "bandh", which means "to tie", and that's exactly what this technique is about: tie-dyeing fabric to create patterns.

Bandhej is a tie-and-dye technique where fabric is tightly tied into tiny bindings using threads and then dyed. The tied portions resist the dye, creating intricate dot-based patterns when untied. This creates motifs that are geometric, floral, or symbolic in nature.

It is traditionally practiced in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and parts of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

Modal fabric is a soft, breathable, and eco-friendly textile made from beech tree pulp. It's a type of regenerated cellulose fiber, similar to viscose (rayon), but stronger, silkier, and more sustainable. Popular in both fashion and home textiles, Modal blends the comfort of cotton with the sheen and drape of silk.
